She retrieved explosives in Dnipro and was preparing an attack in Odesa.

According to the case materials, the individual involved is a 32-year-old woman from Odesa, who was remotely recruited by a personnel officer of the Russian special operations group at the end of last year. This information was shared by the SBU press service.

It has been established that the traitor set fire to the relay cabinet of the signaling system and the transformer substation on the local railway line. Subsequently, the agent received a new assignment – to establish a cache near the port containing components for a homemade explosive device (HED). To accomplish this, the woman traveled to Dnipro, where she retrieved an element of explosives, disguised in a cigarette pack, from a hiding place based on the coordinates given by her Russian handler. After returning to Odesa, the traitor attempted to place the component for the HED in a pre-prepared hiding spot near the port infrastructure. At this stage, SBU counterintelligence agents caught the agent "red-handed" and seized part of the explosive device from her.

It was also determined that the next component of the cache was a firearm, which the individual was supposed to collect from another frontline city.

During searches, a mobile phone was seized from the detained individual, containing evidence of communication with the Russian special operations group. Currently, SBU investigators have notified her of suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
