A 50-year-old man was arrested in the Samariivskyi district for fatally beating his elderly mother.
During the altercation, the assailant attacked a 75-year-old woman. The injuries she sustained resulted in her death at the scene.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The crime occurred on February 26 around two o'clock in the morning in the village of the Samariyivka district. Police determined that during a quarrel, the assailant inflicted fatal blows to the mother using a brick and a stick.
The law enforcement officers detained the man in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He has currently been notified of suspicion under part 1 of Article 115 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
