A 44-year-old man from Zaporizhzhia formed a criminal group that extorted money from entrepreneurs and burglarized apartments.
The criminal organization consisted of two distinct units. One group focused on extorting money from citizens and business owners, while the other specialized in burglaries of apartments and houses. The crime group was organized by a 44-year-old resident of Zaporizhia. Leveraging his influence and reputation in the criminal underworld, he recruited eight men aged between 23 and 46 years old.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Police gathered evidence of their involvement in three burglaries from citizens' homes and two instances of extortion. As a result of their illegal actions, the perpetrators unlawfully seized funds from the victims totaling nearly 3,800,000 hryvnias.
All offenders have been notified of their suspicion. Depending on their roles and participation, the actions of the members of the criminal organization have been classified under Part 2, 5 of Article 255, Part 4 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 185, Part 4 of Article 28, and Part 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
