It has been preliminarily established that the minor acted on the instructions of a Russian handler, who promised to pay 15,000 hryvnias for setting fire to a military vehicle.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The crime occurred on February 24 around 7:30 PM in the city of Pavlohrad. A witness to the crime informed the police that he saw an unknown individual photographing a military vehicle from the window of his apartment, after which the individual doused the vehicle with a flammable mixture.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene and determined that a 14-year-old boy was involved in the offense. He was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He has currently been informed of suspicion under part 3 of Article 15 and part 2 of Article 194 (attempted intentional destruction or damage to property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
