In Kamianske, police apprehended a man for a robbery attack on two local residents.

The crime occurred on November 27 at around 11:30 PM in Kamianske. It was revealed that the suspect encountered two men near a store. Approaching the strangers, the attacker assaulted them and forced them into a car. While driving, he threatened them with a firearm and took their mobile phones. He then dropped them off on one of the city streets and fled in an unknown direction.

The law enforcement officers of the Kamianske District Police Department have worked the area of the city and identified a suspect. The individual is a 27-year-old local resident with a previous criminal record.

The police confiscated the weapon and sent it for forensic examination.

The suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. In coordination with the Kamianske District Prosecutor's Office, he was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense as stipulated by Part 4 of Article 187 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and a preventive measure of detention was chosen. Currently, the pre-trial investigation in the aforementioned criminal proceeding is ongoing, with necessary investigative actions being conducted aimed at a comprehensive, objective, and impartial examination of all circumstances surrounding the committed criminal offense.
