The SBU arrested prominent Dnipro lawyer Oleksandr Samaretz, who was adjusting Russian missile strikes on the city and attempted to flee Ukraine.

Counterintelligence agents and investigators from the Security Service have thwarted the escape of one of the most covert FSB agents in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This individual turned out to be a well-known local lawyer who was directing Russian missile strikes on the regional capital.

According to media reports, the individual in question is Oleksandr Ivanovych Samarets, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Bar Association.

The suspect was apprehended while attempting to flee our country at the "Krakivets" border crossing, where he was trying to exit abroad. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

It has been documented how the traitor adjusted the enemy's rocket shelling of a local company that modernizes and repairs strike and reconnaissance drones.

It was established that to inflict maximum damage, he provided the FSB not just general coordinates of the enterprise, but precise locations of the technological workshops and storage facilities for UAVs. Subsequently, the aggressors struck based on his coordinates, resulting in the deaths of six and severe injuries to 30 Ukrainians.

Additionally, civilian infrastructure was damaged during the attack.

During searches of the detainee's home and office, mobile phones and SIM cards containing evidence of his subversive activities in favor of the Russian Federation were seized. Investigators from the Security Service informed him of his suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Article 111 (high treason committed under martial law); Part 2 of Article 436-2 (justification, recognition of the legitimacy, or denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and glorification of its participants).

The offender faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
