Dnipro police have charged a 30-year-old man with robbing an elderly woman.
The crime occurred on January 12 at approximately 2:00 PM near a shopping center on Panikakha Street in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. In the restroom, the suspect struck the 77-year-old victim in the face and then grabbed a box of money from the table.

A witness to the crime was a man who apprehended the offender and handed him over to the investigative team. The police officers from the Police Department No. 4 of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1 arrested the attacker in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
On January 13, investigators informed the detained individual of his suspicion of committing a criminal offense as stipulated in Part 4 of Article 186 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man faces a potential prison sentence of 7 to 10 years for the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
