Law enforcement in Kryvyi Rih uncovered a criminal organization running a drug business, generating a monthly income of 3 million UAH.

Eleven local residents set up a methamphetamine laboratory in Kryvyi Rih, where they produced methamphetamine and subsequently distributed the "finished product" in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, as well as in other parts of the country, utilizing postal services for delivery.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During the conducted operations, the connections of the group were established, and the activities of a laboratory producing the psychotropic substance "methamphetamine" were documented, which manufactured approximately 2 kg of the drug monthly.

Fifty searches were conducted at the residences and in the vehicles of the suspects. As a result, the police seized cannabis and methamphetamine, as well as precursors, glass flasks, five pistols, six cars, and cash. The estimated value of the seized psychotropics on the "black market" is about 500,000 UAH.

Currently, 11 members of the criminal organization have been notified of suspicion under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • Part 1, 2 of Article 255 (creation, leadership of a criminal community or criminal organization, as well as participation in it)

  • Part 4 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacturing, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs)

  • Part 4 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 317 (organization or maintenance of places for illegal use, production, or manufacturing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs)

  • Part 4 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 321 (illegal production, manufacturing, acquisition, transportation, shipment, storage for the purpose of sale, or sale of toxic or potent substances or toxic or potent medicinal products).
