Kryvyi Rih police have apprehended a suspect in the murder of his common-law wife.
On January 9, around 4:20 AM, the police received a report regarding the discovery of the body of a 44-year-old woman with bodily injuries in an apartment located in the Ternivskyi district. A forensic investigative team from Police Department No. 5 of the Kryvyi Rih District Police and a criminalistics laboratory arrived at the scene. Law enforcement collected physical evidence, interviewed witnesses, and established that the murder of the woman was linked to her 33-year-old common-law partner.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. On January 9, investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Kryvyi Rih Northern District Prosecutor's Office, informed him of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 115 (intentional murder).
Additionally, the police are conducting an investigation into criminal actions against a child under Part 1 of Article 125 (intentional minor bodily harm) and Part 4 of Article 152 (rape) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A number of expert examinations and investigative actions have been appointed.
