Ukraine has proposed to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un to take back his captured soldiers. In return, he is being offered assistance in facilitating the return of Ukrainian prisoners currently held in Russia.

This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Telegram. According to him, there will undoubtedly be more North Korean prisoners in the future.

"It's just a matter of time before our guys manage to capture more. And no one in the world should have any doubts that the Russian army relies on military support from North Korea," he stated.

Zelensky added that Ukraine is prepared to send captured soldiers back to North Korea if Kim Jong Un helps organize their exchange for warriors who are still in Russian captivity.

At the same time, he noted that those soldiers who do not wish to return and agree to assist Ukraine in spreading the truth about the war will have that opportunity.

Along with his message, Zelensky attached a video of the interrogation of two North Koreans. One of them was able to express that he did not know where he was and expressed a desire to remain in Ukraine.

As previously reported, on Saturday, January 11, it became known that Ukrainian servicemen managed to capture soldiers from North Korea for the first time. It is known that one North Korean soldier was captured on January 9, 2025, by fighters from Tactical Group No. 84 SSO, while another was taken by airborne troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
