Is spring over? Harsh frosts are racing towards Ukraine.

The weather in Ukraine during the second month of winter has surprised many with a significant warming. However, cold weather is expected to arrive in our country starting January 12.

According to the well-known meteorologist Igor Kibalchich, who spoke to "Telegraf," a cooler air mass will gradually spread from the western and northern regions, beginning on January 13, along with a shift in wind direction from south to west and northwest.

This will lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures across all regions, with the most significant cooling occurring in the western part of the country.

From January 13 to 15, below-zero temperatures will be observed in most areas of Ukraine. Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from -2 to -8 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures may fluctuate between -3 to +3 degrees Celsius. During the nights of January 14 and 15, frosts in the Carpathians and Precarpathian regions may strengthen to -12 to -17 degrees Celsius. The drop in temperature will be accompanied by light to moderate snowfall, with rain and wet snow dominating in the southeastern part of Ukraine.

The map illustrates the forecast for nighttime air temperatures (°C) on January 14, 2025. Notably, the lowest values are anticipated in the western regions of Ukraine, as well as in some Central European countries.
