The future president of the United States, Donald Trump, has repeatedly expressed his readiness to end the war in Ukraine, but he must understand that strength plays a crucial role in this matter.
This was stated by Major General Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (GUR), in an interview with CIVIL MEDIA. He assessed Trump’s prospects regarding Ukraine.
"We acknowledge the commitment and interest of the elected president of the United States to stop the terrible war initiated by Russia. I am confident that Donald Trump understands how important the factor of strength is in this process," he said.
According to him, it was the Trump administration that provided Ukraine with its first lethal American weapon – the Javelin missile systems. Thanks to these, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed dozens of Russian tanks.
"Ukraine has always valued the bipartisan support of the United States. We hope that President Trump's leadership will help achieve a just peace," the major general added.
It is worth noting that during a personal meeting in Paris with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump signaled Ukraine and criticized Russia, according to the head of the Center for Analysis and Strategies, Igor Chalenko.
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed details of the negotiations with Trump and disclosed the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
