Anna Maligon, a resident of Kharkiv and the star of a viral video about the consequences of war in Ukraine, has created a similar clip, but this time in the United States. The young woman faced the aftermath of widespread wildfires in California.
The corresponding video was shared on her TikTok page, where Anna reveals what is happening in the American city and how this tragedy has personally affected her.
She showed that her friends' house was completely destroyed by the fires. Maligon also pointed out that the air around is currently very toxic.
"I live in California, but it feels like I’ve returned to Ukraine," — said the video creator.
It’s worth noting that Anna filmed her video about the consequences of war in April 2024. She returned home from the U.S. and showed that her car had been destroyed, and the church and school she attended were in ruins.
At that time, the video gained immense popularity and went viral, racking up over 27 million views on her page.
As reported by Independent, Anna Maligon left Ukraine even before the full-scale war began. She moved to the States to pursue her studies.
Recall that earlier, "Telegraph" reported that just before Donald Trump's inauguration, a large wildfire erupted in California, causing significant destruction and loss of life. To date, five fatalities have been confirmed, over 1,000 buildings have been destroyed, and more than 130,000 residents have been evacuated. Strong winds of 95-160 km/h and dry weather facilitated the rapid spread of the flames, complicating the firefighters' efforts.
