"Not equal": The deputy head of the Chernivtsi OGA is embroiled in a scandal for insulting a military officer.

The First Deputy Head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, Alena Atamanyuk, has been accused of disrespecting her colleague, combat veteran and SSO sniper Valeriy Vivcharuk. The official denies these allegations.

The story was shared by serviceman Walter Sheffer on Facebook. According to him, Atamanyuk allegedly stated that Vivcharuk "is not her equal" and refused to sit next to him.

"Imagine this level of contempt towards a military personnel, a combat participant, a former SSO sniper! We often encounter rudeness from civilians towards servicemen, but this involves a public official. If a bureaucrat can behave like this, what respect can we expect for veterans? The war is not over yet. Just think about what will happen next," Sheffer wrote.

He also attached a screenshot of the conversation, which shows Atamanyuk's comment.

Atamanyuk called the image fake and reported that she has been the target of an information attack for several weeks.

"I don't know who started this particular fake and for what purpose, but I understand that it is certainly not out of good intentions towards me or our joint work," she wrote.

As previously reported, a minibus driver in Kyiv was rude to a serviceman with a concussion. It was later revealed that he was suspended from work, and an investigation is currently underway.
