From early morning on Tuesday, January 28, Odessa was under fire from Russian drones. A fire was reported in one of the city districts.

The active attack began around 4:30 AM, according to a correspondent from "Telegraph." Russian drones approached from the sea, and explosions were heard in the suburbs – the Chornomorsk/Avanguard area, as well as in the Tairovo district. Air defense systems were engaged.

UPD: The number of injured in Odessa has risen to three, one of whom was rescued from a blocked apartment. Windows were shattered in nearby buildings due to the blast.

As noted by a local resident whose apartment was damaged by the explosion, one of his windows was blown out, but overall, the situation in the building is relatively normal. According to him, two powerful explosions occurred near the apartment block, with one resulting from a direct hit.

"According to preliminary information, as a result of the UAV attack, there are damages to residential buildings and a fire has been recorded involving four cars. No information about casualties or injuries has been reported,"stated Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov on Telegram.

Explosions were also heard in the vicinity of the School Aerodrome. There is currently no official information regarding this. Additionally, monitoring channels reported that the Russians used missiles, which were intercepted by air defense.

A fire occurred in one of the city districts, with preliminary reports indicating that vehicles caught fire. Windows were shattered in the buildings.

Recall that on January 24, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with unmanned aerial vehicles. Explosions were heard in the city. One of the drones crashed in the Osnovyansky district in the southern part of the city.

The day before, on January 23, the Russians struck the city of Zaporizhzhia with drones. There were five explosions reported.
