A man stole a package containing a mobile phone from a postal machine; law enforcement in Zaporizhzhia has located the suspect.

Yesterday, on February 20th, a representative from a delivery service contacted the police department to report a theft at a package pickup location.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhia region.

Initially, the police determined that an unknown individual broke the lock of a mailbox on the first floor of a multi-story building and took a package that contained a mobile phone.

Law enforcement identified the perpetrator and later located him. He turned out to be a 31-year-old man with a history of multiple convictions for property crimes. He was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The suspect has now been informed of the accusation for committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
