The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense will inspect institutions that conduct military medical commissions (VVK).

The Ministry of Defense is initiating an inspection of institutions conducting military medical commissions. If any violations are found, the responsible agency will be held accountable for the mistakes made by its employees. This was stated by a representative of the Ministry of Defense, Dmitry Lazutkin, during a telethon.

According to him, such inspections aim to ensure compliance with mobilization rules and medical standards, as well as to prevent potential violations.

“Responsibility for violations during the mobilization process varies depending on the stage at which the incident occurred. If mistakes were made during the medical examination stage, the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service of Ukraine are responsible under their agreements,” Lazutkin noted.

He also added that if the error is related to the conclusion of the military medical commission, the responsibility lies with the commission itself, and the Ministry of Defense should ensure the necessary response.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense has already prepared a draft amendment to the legislation as part of the digitalization of military medical commissions, which will allow health information about military reservists to be transmitted from civilian medical institutions to the Ministry of Defense systems in just a few minutes.
