In the Khmelnytskyi region, a court sentenced a 66-year-old former forester to 2 years in prison due to an incident that caused a resident of Shepetivka to suffer an open head injury. This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.

The event took place in November 2021 in a forest area between the villages of Kuryanki and Mali Kaletyntsi in the Bilohirsk community.

The accused was employed as a forester at a communal forestry enterprise. On that day, he was conducting logging operations and asked a friend, who was not an employee of the enterprise, to assist him.

During the felling, a dry branch fell from a tree and struck the victim on the head. As a result, the man sustained an open head injury.
