Ukraine has the potential to produce 3,000 cruise missiles, which will cost a minimum of $3 billion, as previously stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. To execute this plan, contracts for the procurement of the necessary materials must be secured, reports Forbes Ukraine, citing a senior official.
However, many experts question the feasibility of such plans. According to the publication "Military," producing three thousand missiles would require at least $3 billion, not including expenses for new machinery and expanding production capacities.
The Director of Defense Express, Serhiy Zgurets, noted that manufacturing 3,000 missiles per year translates to an average of eight missiles per day, or one missile every three hours, which exceeds the production rates in Russia.
For this, Ukraine will need to address a number of logistical and organizational issues, such as decentralizing production capacities, streamlining the manufacturing process, and ensuring stable supplies of imported components for the missiles.
