The family of a former head of one of the district military registration and enlistment offices in Kharkiv may have luxury vehicles worth over 3.4 million UAH confiscated.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation, a pre-trial investigation was initiated at the beginning of 2024 under Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the possible non-declaration of property by a law enforcement officer from Kharkiv, who is his wife.
It is noted that during the pre-trial investigation, Bureau employees discovered two new luxury vehicles registered to the mother-in-law in the possession of the district military registration and enlistment office head's family.
“The materials available to the investigation indicate that the relatives of the official can fully dispose of these assets in accordance with their rights. At the same time, Bureau employees established the absence of legitimate income for the official's family and his mother-in-law to purchase such vehicles,” they stated.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office clarified that the case involves two new luxury vehicles with a total value of 3,423,000 UAH, purchased in 2022-2023.
Consequently, the SAP has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to declare the assets unjustified and to recover them for the benefit of the state.
