Republican Congressman from Florida Mike Waltz, who was invited by Donald Trump to serve as a national security advisor in his upcoming administration, stated that the newly elected President of the United States plans to bring both parties to the negotiating table in order to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. He made this remark in a comment to "Voice of America."
“The President has made it clear that he wishes to bring both sides to the negotiating table. He is focused on ending the war, not prolonging it,” said Waltz.
Waltz added that the vision for security policy regarding Ukraine depends on the newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump.
“It does not depend on me, but on the President's decision,” said the nominee for the position of National Security Advisor.
It is worth noting that Donald Trump has chosen Mike Waltz as his National Security Advisor.
