As reported by the “Judicial and Legal Newspaper,” the elected November 6 President of the United States Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Putin. The conversation took place on Thursday, November 7.
According to data from several sources cited by The Washington Post, the discussion focused on the necessity of peace on the European continent, and Trump expressed interest in further talks to discuss “the prompt resolution of the war in Ukraine.” Additionally, WP reports, referencing sources, that during the phone call, Trump briefly touched upon the issue of territories.
“During the phone call, which Trump conducted from his resort in Florida, he advised the Russian president not to escalate the war in Ukraine and reminded him of the significant U.S. military presence in Europe,” the publication quotes one of the sources as saying.
The publication, citing two sources, notes that the Ukrainian government was allegedly informed about the call to Putin and did not object to the conversation taking place.
