Following the U.S. Congress's approval of additional funding for Ukraine in April, the United States has delivered 83% of the promised munitions, 67% of air defense systems, and 60% of munitions from American stockpiles. This was reported by Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder, as conveyed by Voice of America.
According to the spokesperson, 83% of the critical munitions include 155mm artillery shells, GMLRS (rockets for HIMARS), munitions for Patriot and NASAMS systems.
The 67% of promised air defense systems include Stinger and HAWK missiles, while 60% of U.S. commitments for firepower consist of small diameter bombs and 105mm caliber munitions.
The Pentagon clarified that the U.S. still has the capability to provide Ukraine with weapons and equipment worth over $9 billion.
Ryder noted that when weapons are supplied from U.S. stockpiles, the Pentagon typically delivers them to Ukraine within a few days or weeks. If certain equipment requires repairs and cannot be delivered immediately, the U.S. Department of Defense quickly restores it and sends it to Ukraine after the repair work is completed.
