Starting December 1, passenger vehicles and public transport will be allowed to cross the Podolsky Bridge in Kyiv.

Starting from December 1, traffic will be opened on the Podilsky bridge crossing for passenger cars and public urban transport. This was announced by the city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

Specifically, the passage will include the newly constructed tunnel that connects the bridge crossing with the exit to Petar Vershigora Street in the direction of Roman Shukhevych Avenue and the Troieshchyna residential area.

For heavy-duty vehicles, the Podilsky bridge crossing will remain closed for the time being, Klitschko emphasized.

Additionally, according to Klitschko, the landscaping and development work in the nearby area around the new tunnel is expected to be completed by the end of the year, without obstructing traffic.

He added that currently, only special transport and passenger buses on route No. 111 are allowed to use the bridge crossing.
