The people's deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction, the Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee Lesya Zaburanna discussed the main changes in the State Budget project before the second reading.
In particular, the adjustments in the country’s main budget concern 40 billion hryvnias of the Road Fund, salaries of prosecutors, and personal income tax in communities.
“When we talk about the changes that the Budget Project underwent between the first reading and the time we submitted it to the Cabinet, the first and foremost change was that we proposed to transfer all resources of the Road Fund (about 43.2 billion hryvnias) to the general fund of the state budget, which has indeed taken place,” the deputy noted during a telethon.
The second change involves linking prosecutors' salaries to the minimum subsistence level.
“In the budget project submitted by the government, it was planned to tie it to a minimum subsistence level of 2102 hryvnias. The relevant proposals from the people's deputies aimed to lower the minimum subsistence level for prosecutors, which led to a decrease in their salaries. This was supported in the hall,” emphasized Lesya Zaburanna.
The next factor involves proposals from the people's deputies regarding income tax in the regions.
“There were suggestions concerning the retention of the reverse subsidy in the regions (about 12 billion hryvnias) and to reconsider the possibility of not collecting an additional 4% income tax locally by compensating for the difference in tariffs,” the parliamentarian summarized.
