Law enforcement uncovered an organized group of drug dealers operating a scheme to sell narcotics through pharmacies in Dnipro.

According to the investigation, the owner of a pharmacy chain in Dnipro organized a drug trafficking operation and recruited three pharmacist employees along with close relatives to participate in the illegal activities.

The members of the group established a distribution channel for the precursor pseudoephedrine within the city. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The offenders purchased the "products" in bulk and stored them in rented premises. Subsequently, adhering to a conspiracy, they sold the precursor "from hand to hand" within the pharmacy. They received payments in cash and on bank cards.

During the execution of authorized searches at the pharmacy and at the suspects' residences, law enforcement seized precursors, narcotics, one and a half million hryvnias in cash, electronic scales, handwritten notes, documentation, mobile phones, and weapons.

Currently, six participants of the criminal group have been informed of their suspicion regarding the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale, and illegal sale of precursors, committed by an organized group (Part 2, 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 311 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
