Investigators from the National Police, employees of the Criminal Investigation Department, and the Criminal Investigation Department in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, along with officers from the district police unit in Dnipropetrovsk and staff from the operational department of the State Institution "Dniprovsk Correctional Colony No. 89," have uncovered the activities of a criminal group with the assistance of the Southeastern Interregional Department of the State Criminal Enforcement Service.
The law enforcement officers conducted a series of searches at the locations where the suspects were held and lived, seizing narcotic substances—cannabis and methadone—concealed within food products and candies. Additionally, mobile phones, handwritten notes, and other material evidence of their illegal activities were confiscated.
Currently, the investigators from the National Police have notified two offenders of suspicion under part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face imprisonment for a term of six to ten years, along with confiscation of property.
The investigation is ongoing. The involvement of several other individuals in this crime is being established.
