The rise in chicken egg prices is expected to "slow down" slightly, but will accelerate ahead of the winter holidays due to increased demand. Additionally, a moderate increase in chicken meat prices is also anticipated. This was stated by Oleg Pendzin, an expert from the "Economic Discussion Club," during a broadcast on "Ukrainian Radio".

SubscribeIn November, the expert predicts a certain slowdown in the growth of egg prices; however, by mid-December, the product will begin to rise in price again. This will be linked to a sharp increase in demand for eggs ahead of the holidays.
"We expect a rise of at least 10%. It is quite likely that eggs will cost around 70 plus right before the Christmas holidays, assuming there are no unexpected force majeure situations", he noted.
Poultry farms are heavily dependent on electricity supply, so if there are prolonged outages, a more noticeable increase in egg prices should be expected, as businesses will have to rely on generators.
