In Transcarpathia, rocks have fallen from a mountain, blocking the railway tracks between Syanki and Mukachevo. As a result, train services have been temporarily halted, reports Ukrzaliznytsia.

The rocks fell on the section, obstructing an electric train. Two wheel pairs derailed. A recovery team is currently working at the site.

Fortunately, there are no injuries. The company notes that the train's speed during the incident was below the permitted limit. Passengers have been transported to their destinations by road.

To avoid delays, train No. 59 from Kyiv to Chop has been rerouted around the blocked section. Efforts to restore train services are ongoing.
