Merz's party received 28.5% of the votes.
The far-right party "Alternative for Germany" came in second with 20.8%. The Social Democratic Party led by Olaf Scholz took third place with 16.4%.
The "Greens" (Grüne) and "Left" (Linke) parties also secured seats in the Bundestag, finishing in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
Other parties, such as the "Free Democratic Party" and "Alliance of Sarah Wagenknecht," did not qualify as they failed to surpass the 5% vote threshold.
