Explosions occurred in the Kyiv region during the night of Wednesday, February 26 — a fire broke out in a two-story private house in the Bucha district. One person has died, and two others were injured. Additionally, Kyiv was under attack.
As reported by the acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Nikolai Kalashnik, the body of the deceased was found during the firefighting efforts, which were necessitated by enemy shelling in the Bucha district. The State Emergency Service clarified that this incident took place in Kryukivshchyna, where a fire ignited by drone debris engulfed an area of 200 square meters. Firefighters discovered the deceased while extinguishing the flames.
According to Kalashnik, in another locality, two people were injured. A girl born in 2005 with a wound to the back of her head was hospitalized in a local hospital. A man born in 1981 suffered an injury to his right hand. Medical assistance was provided to the injured.
"Preliminary information indicates that as a result of the enemy attack in the Bucha district, five private houses were damaged, windows in four multi-story residential buildings were shattered, two garages were destroyed, three vehicles were completely destroyed, and eight others were damaged." the official added.
The State Emergency Service clarified that this concerns Bucha. Emergency services are currently working at the scene.
As reported by "Telegraf," on the night of February 26, four "Shahed" drones hit Kharkiv. One of them struck an apartment on the second floor of a nine-story building in the Kyiv district, causing a fire. Fortunately, no one was inside the apartment. However, the third floor was damaged, and two people were injured.
