The individuals involved were cutting down trees of various species, subsequently storing the timber in rented facilities, producing firewood, and selling the raw materials. Their illegal activities have caused environmental damage amounting to several million hryvnias.
During the execution of 30 authorized searches, law enforcement officers seized timber, chainsaws, axes, mobile phones, vehicles, cash, documentation, and weapons. Currently, the organizer and two members of the criminal organization have been notified of suspicions regarding the creation and leadership of a criminal organization, as well as participation in it and the illegal felling, transportation, storage, and sale of timber (part 1, 2 of Article 255, part 4 of Article 28, part 4 of Article 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
