SubscribeThe head of the transport department, Viktor Zhitnik, explained in a comment to "Access Point" that the increase in fares will affect both municipal buses and trolleybuses, as well as private minibuses.
Implementing new fare rates is considered justified, as recalculations have not been conducted for several years, during which time prices for electricity, fuel, and spare parts have significantly risen. Currently, the fares do not cover the expenses of the enterprises.
The biggest increase will be in minibus fares. According to planned calculations, the fare is expected to rise by 50% - from 10 to 15 hryvnias. For municipal buses, the fare may increase from 7 to 10 hryvnias, and for trolleybuses from 6 to 8 hryvnias.
