NEC "Ukrenergo" announced the implementation of emergency power outages on Thursday morning due to a massive attack on energy facilities.
In particular, approximately 215,000 subscribers in Volyn are without electricity.
As reported by the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration Ivan Rudnytsky, the occupiers targeted critical infrastructure with missiles. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Some private agricultural buildings were damaged.
All critical infrastructure that lost power has been switched to generators.
A headquarters for thermal power plants and emergency situations has been established to address the aftermath of the enemy attack. Additional resilience points have been activated, providing light, internet, and warmth.
All relevant services are working to restore heating and electricity supply as quickly as possible.
The enemy also attacked energy infrastructure facilities in the Lviv region.
According to the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maxim Kozitsky, due to the morning shelling and the implementation of hourly power outage schedules, 523,000 subscribers in Lviv region are without electricity.
Emergency power outages in Ukraine may continue until 8:00 PM.
