In Obolon, Kyiv, new electric meters have begun to be installed, but they are not the ones many expected. Instead of modern two-tariff meters, residents are receiving single-tariff devices. This is being carried out by the employees of DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks, replacing old devices whose service life has long expired.

Why not two-tariff? It turns out that the queue for the installation of such meters is moving slowly, and these single-tariff meters will have time to "work" for a few more years until the two-tariff ones are installed. Previously, before the war began, the company planned to equip all houses in Kyiv with two-tariff meters by 2030, but now this goal seems unrealistic.
Local residents are actively discussing these installations. Some complain about the poor quality of the wiring, while others express frustration that the promised two-tariff meters still do not transmit readings automatically, despite such features being expected.
