On February 24, a high level of air pollution was recorded in Kyiv. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
“An increase in the concentration of suspended particles is being observed,” noted the KCSA.
The likely cause of the deterioration in air quality is the accumulation of suspended particles (dust).
Calm weather combined with high atmospheric pressure does not facilitate the dispersion of pollutants.
Residents of Kyiv are advised to close windows, limit outdoor activities, and drink plenty of water until the air quality improves.
“If you have an air purifier, turn it on to maximum,” the administration added.
According to IQAir, Kyiv ranks 6th among the most polluted cities in the world regarding air quality.
