The government service has seen a decrease of 2% in male employees, resulting in a loss of 4,500 positions, according to the NAGS dashboard.

The National Agency of Ukraine for Public Service has reported that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the actual number of employed civil servants amounted to 156,276 individuals.

The number of civil service positions according to the staffing schedule was 192,172. The number of vacant civil service positions reached 31,167. The agency noted a series of transformations in the quantitative composition of civil servants (KSGS) that occurred during the fourth quarter of 2024.

“It is important to note the strengthening trend of a decrease in the number of employed civil servants. In the fourth quarter, their numbers decreased by 1,443 individuals. According to KSGS research, in the third quarter of 2024, the decrease was only 372,” the report stated.

Additionally, the number of reduced civil service positions according to the staffing schedule has increased. In the fourth quarter, this figure was 4,524, compared to 1,942 in the previous quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the number of vacant civil service positions decreased by 2,131, compared to 1,547 in the previous period. There is a continuing negative trend regarding the reduction of male representation in civil service. In the fourth quarter, their numbers fell by almost 2% of the total count (639 individuals). In the third quarter, this figure was reduced by 413 individuals.
