Germany is preparing its troops for a possible conflict with Russia.

Germany has initiated extensive preparations for a potential military conflict with Russia, which experts believe could pose a more significant challenge for the country than the war in Ukraine. This is reported by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

The German armed forces are actively implementing a strategic document titled "Operation Germany Plan," which spans approximately 1,000 pages. It outlines detailed scenarios for military actions, including:

  • infrastructure targets that require special protection;
  • action algorithms in the event of defensive operations or crisis situations.

As a key center of NATO's eastern flank, Germany is expected to play a crucial role in the logistics of troop, equipment, food, and medical supply transfers in the event of escalation.

Particular emphasis is placed on collaboration with businesses. In Hamburg, Colonel Jorn Plischke urged companies to train their staff in skills that could be valuable during a crisis, such as truck management.

"70% of truck drivers in Germany are Eastern Europeans. In the event of war, they may simply not be in the country," Plischke noted.

Companies are also advised to develop autonomous energy supply systems, including through diesel generators. Negotiations on business preparations have already taken place with representatives from trade, industry, and agriculture in Hamburg, and similar activities are ongoing across the country.

Germany's military preparedness is part of a broader NATO strategy amid rising tensions in Europe. Germany aims to ensure readiness for any eventuality, enhancing both the country's defense capabilities and coordination with its Alliance partners.
