If BRICS countries establish their own currency to replace the dollar, they could face a 100% tariff, warns Trump.

President of the United States Donald Trump stated that BRICS countries will face 100% tariffs from the U.S. if they attempt to replace the American dollar with their own currency. Trump made this announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social.

According to the American leader, there is "no chance" that BRICS will replace the U.S. dollar in international trade.

"Any country that tries will have to say 'hello' to tariffs and 'goodbye' to America," he declared.

Trump further remarked that BRICS nations can expect to "say goodbye to selling to the wonderful U.S. economy" and search for another "country of fools."

"We will demand that these seemingly hostile nations commit to not creating a new BRICS currency and not supporting any other currency to replace the powerful U.S. dollar, or they will face 100% tariffs," the U.S. president added.
