The fare increase for public transportation has been announced for the residents of Vinnytsia. This was reported by the local publication "Vinnytsia.info".

As the last fare increase for city transport occurred in 2021, the Vinnytsia City Council has prepared a draft regulatory act that proposes changes to the tariffs for trams, trolleybuses, and buses.

It is suggested that the fare for a single passenger ride on trams and trolleybuses be raised to 12 hryvnias. Meanwhile, the fare for city bus routes operating in a regular mode is proposed to be set at 15 hryvnias.

Additionally, a new price for long-term electronic tickets will be established.

Thus, the electronic ticket for 130 trips valid for 30 days from the date of purchase will cost:

  • 750 hryvnias - for citizens;
  • 375 hryvnias - for students enrolled in full-time education at institutions of I-IV accreditation levels and for students of vocational schools;
  • 225 hryvnias - for schoolchildren.

An electronic ticket with unlimited trips for 30 days will cost 1125 hryvnias. The decision to adjust the tariffs for public transport will take effect on December 15, 2024.

Earlier, the Znaï portal reported that getting to work will become more expensive: new transport fare rates are being prepared.

Our portal also informed that public transport could become free for everyone: Ukrainians were encouraged by a new initiative.
