The vote counting for the presidential elections in the USA has been completed. Donald Trump has secured the majority of votes in Arizona – the last of the seven so-called swing states. This is reported by Associated Press.
Thus, Trump has solidified his victory in the presidential elections.
In Arizona, Trump gains an additional 11 electoral votes, bringing his total to 312, while his opponent Kamala Harris has 226.
With his win in Arizona, he captures the electoral votes from all seven "swing" states. Six of those states, including Arizona, voted predominantly for Joe Biden in 2020.
The publication notes that Arizona was long considered a "red" state, but the previous presidential election, when Biden won there for the first time since 1996, shifted it to "swing."
Earlier, “Judicial and Legal Newspaper” reported that Donald Trump announced his first appointment in his future administration. He appointed Susan Wiles as the head of the White House staff – marking the first time a woman will hold this position in U.S. history. This is stated in a release from Trump, published by the vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance.
