The elected President of the United States Donald Trump is finalizing potential candidates for positions in his presidential administration.
He has selected Republican Mike Waltz as his national security advisor. This information is reported by Reuters.
This position does not require Senate confirmation, so Waltz will be directly responsible for briefing Trump on national security matters and coordinating actions among government agencies.
According to the agency, Waltz is known as an outspoken critic of China, consistently supporting Trump.
Among other things, he shares Trump’s stance on immigration and support for Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Donald Trump will not invite Republicans Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley to the new administration.
Additionally, the names of candidates for the highest positions in Trump’s administration have been revealed.
