Andrey Sibiga stated that Ukraine will not surrender its territories in exchange for peace.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha stated that Kyiv "will not enter into any agreements with Moscow in exchange for territories." This was reported by Voice of America.

"Ukraine will not accept any proposals that involve a compromise regarding our sovereignty or territorial integrity. We will not accept any initiatives developed without our participation. We will not accept agreements of 'land for peace'," said Sybiha.

According to him, this would mean that millions of people would remain under the control of the aggressor state and face genocide, torture, and oppression.

The Foreign Minister noted that "rewarding Russia with territorial gains will not restore peace but will provoke further aggression."

"This is appeasement, not peace. Appeasement has never worked in the past and will not work now," he remarked.

Sybiha also mentioned the updated nuclear doctrine of Russia. The Minister believes that the rhetoric regarding the use of nuclear weapons is nothing more than blackmail.

Hearings in the Helsinki Commission of the U.S. Congress took place on Tuesday, November 19.
