The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden has been exploring the possibility of publicly calling for Ukraine to join NATO. However, the White House ultimately decided against this, "considering the low likelihood of success in the short term." This is reported by the publicationBloomberg.

According to reports, Biden aims to strengthen Ukraine's position in the war with Russia before Donald Trump takes his seat.

"Recent actions taken by Biden include, in particular, authorizing strikes on military targets deep within Russia," – the publication states.

The White House has also quickly approved the supply of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine, written off nearly $5 billion of Ukraine's debt, and imposed sanctions on Russia's Gazprombank.

This strategy is intended to demonstrate to Ukraine that it has potential, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to resist the enemy, should the hostilities continue.
