A resident of Bukovina will face trial for illegally smuggling individuals into Moldova for $9,200 each.

A man will be tried in Bukovyna for demanding $9,200 from an individual for illegal transportation to Moldova. This information was reported by the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors from the Dniester District Prosecutor's Office have submitted an indictment to the court against the citizen for organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3, Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, a 33-year-old resident of the Dniester district organized the illegal transportation of two conscripted men to Moldova for a monetary reward of $18,400.

While transporting them to the border line, the suspect was apprehended by law enforcement officers.
