The Navy reported whether Russian fuel oil will reach the shores of the Odesa region.

As a result of the accident involving two Russian tankers near the Kerch Strait, there has been a leak of fuel oil that could reach the Ukrainian coast. This was reported by the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk.

According to him, the current moving counterclockwise along the Ukrainian coastline may carry the fuel oil towards Odesa. Furthermore, the contamination could spread even further – to Romania or Bulgaria.

"There have been reports from the Turkish and Georgian coasts. I highly doubt that we will be spared from this disaster," he stated.
