The TCK has issued a warning about fines that may be imposed after February 5 – here's who could be affected.

Conscripts with a "limited fit" status must undergo a military medical commission by February 5. Those who fail to do so may face fines, stated the spokesperson for the Cherkasy Regional TCC Alyona Kryvoshea, as reported by the local portal "About Everything".

“When we encounter a person during a notification and see that they are limited fit, we can issue a summons or recommend they contact the TCC for a referral to the VLK,” the spokesperson explained. “There’s also the option for the conscript to receive an order from the enterprise where they work. Some men come in voluntarily as well.”

According to her, there are time limits within which individuals must pass the VLK.

“This means that the day after a certain deadline, we can hold a person accountable for failing to comply with military registration. The fine is the same for everyone: between 17,000 and 25,500 hryvnias. However, when the TCC chief reviews the case, if there is a valid reason, a fine may not be imposed. Everything is considered on an individual basis,” she noted.

Military personnel must also undergo the VLK to assess their fitness for continued service.

“This regulation applies not only to conscripts but also to servicemen,” the spokesperson emphasized. “If there has been an injury or they are limited fit, they also have to go through the VLK. Those who were limited fit and whose health has improved will continue to serve. Those who were injured may be transferred to rear units or discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

The regional TCC advises not to wait for a summons but to voluntarily undergo the VLK to avoid the risk of incurring a fine. Those who are fit should also complete the commission if it has been over a year since their last assessment.
