The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs and diplomats to explore the possibility of involving Ukrainian rescuers in combating large-scale wildfires in California, USA. This was stated by the head of state in his address.

“Today, I instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and our diplomats to prepare for the participation of our rescuers in fighting the fires in California. The situation there is very severe, and Ukrainians can help Americans protect lives,” noted Zelensky.

According to the president, the Ukrainian side has already offered its assistance through the appropriate diplomatic channels. A total of 150 firefighters have been prepared to join the fight against the disaster.

“We have offered our assistance to the American side. 150 of our firefighters are already prepared,” the President added.
