The spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pawel Wronski, refuted claims that Poland allegedly closed its airspace during the flight of the Slovak delegation to Moscow. This was reported by Polskie Radio.
“We did not deny the Slovak side's request for the flight; they simply submitted incomplete documents without annotations, and then, during the review process, when we asked them to provide the missing information, they informed us of a change in their route,” explained the spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The situation was also commented on by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.
According to him, Polish-Slovak relations appear to be strong, but he stated, “as for the flight direction, I recommend flying to Warsaw rather than Moscow.”
