A displaced person from the Donetsk region received a one-year restriction of freedom in Volyn for ignoring a summons from the Territorial Center for Recruitment (TCR). This is stated in the verdict of the Horokhiv District Court of Volyn region in case No. 155/366/24.

In December 2023, the military medical commission declared the man fit for military service. Following this, he was handed a summons requiring him to appear on December 21 at the assembly point for dispatch to a military unit. However, the man ignored the summons, thereby evading mobilization.

During the court hearing, the man admitted his guilt. He confirmed that he did not apply to the TCR for a deferment and did not contest the decision of the military medical commission regarding his fitness for service.

The court found him guilty under Article 335 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion from mobilization). The verdict noted that this was his first time facing criminal liability, he is a displaced person, and he has a child dependent on him.

As a punishment, the man was sentenced to one year of restriction of freedom.
